Minister to Senior Adults

Les Neal has been working at Neighborhood for 28 years (since October 1979). Les currently serves as the Minister to Senior Adults, in the Ministry Development Department.

Tell us about yourself:

Graduate of San Jose State University with a degree in business, graduate school at Simpson.
Married with 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

What do you do as Minister to Senior Adults?

Administrator for a team of very talented musicians, actors, dancers, technical people and other artists. All the things I can't do myself.

What is the best part of your job?

I get to imaginatively create ways to reach the community with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

What do you think you would be doing right now if God had not called you to be in ministry?

I was the administrator for a number of group homes for young people with emotional disorders, and a family therapist when called into ministry, so I would probably be continuing to do the same thing.

If you could be doing anything right now, what would it be?

Travel. I love to travel. Just returned from a trip to China. Have a trip to Israel planned for February of 2007. My chances of making that trip are not looking too good right now.

If you had a million dollars to spend today, what would you buy?

Houses for my kids. Or at least give them down payments for homes in the Bay Area.
