I Promise to Provide for You

June 22nd, 2008

With Dr. Larry A. Vold

Part of the I Promise You series.

If we are honest with ourselves, too often we expect God’s promise to provide for us to be applied only to our wants and desires.  Let me be really clear.  I can’t find any Scripture that supports the idea of God’s provisional nature to be focused on our wants—our desires.  However, God does promise to provide our needs.  And even what we consider a need, God may forsake, in order to provide something we might not readily see as meeting our needs.

Let me just say at the outset of this message, there is a big difference between our needs and our wants—and sometimes even a difference between what we think we need—and what God knows we need!
