Short Term Missions Program: Step 5
Global Outreach--The Process
Every mission trip is unique, but generally speaking each
Neighborhood Church missionary
is required to process through the following five steps:
- Life Development Seminars
These five Seminars are designed to prepare a
Christian for ministry in the
church and a mission in the world. All Neighborhood
Church missionaries
should be involved in our Life Development process.

more about our Life Development Seminars
- Membership
All Neighborhood Church missionaries must be
members of Neighborhood Church,
which means they have graduated from Seminar 101.

- Missions Approval
The pastor overseeing short-term missions
(Randy Odom)
approves, with the help of our missions team leader
and pastoral staff, all missions
trips sponsored by Neighborhood Church.
- Missions Mentor
All Neighborhood Church approved missionaries receive
a missions mentor who comes alongside
to encourage a Neighborhood Church missionary as
they prepare to go and return from a missions trip.
As well as the five required steps, the following three
areas are not required but are recommended
to all short-term missionary candidates:
