Do you ever read the Bible, and wonder ... "What does this passage mean?" Isn't it time to learn how to better understand the Word of God?
Uncovering the meaning of a text is important if we are to apply Scripture accurately. This class will offer some guidelines for study and interpretation.
Some of the topics include an overview of different translations and reference works, as well as an introduction to the various types of literature in the Old and New Testaments. When you take this class, you’ll become familiar with the most common literary genres found in the Bible; use the best reading strategy suited for a particular genre; and, learn to read the Bible for personal enjoyment.
